Project “Investing in the Black”: Future Community Leaders Scholarship
UMS Community Initiative
The Project “Investing in the Black”: Future Community Leaders Scholarship is a community impact initiative created through UpHill Management Solutions to support the next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers. Scholarships are facilitated through Bold.org and the UMS mentorship program to provide educational opportunities, guidance, and support for deserving students and mentees.
Built on the belief that “it takes a community to lift a community,” this initiative supports students committed to addressing real challenges impacting underserved communities — including economic mobility, education access, financial literacy, health equity, and wealth creation. At its core, this initiative reflects UMS’s commitment to empowering future leaders through education, mentorship, resources, and access to opportunity.
All proceeds from this fund will go towards our scholarship that is intended for students pursuing studies in business, finance, psychology, economics, education, public health, community development, entrepreneurship, social impact, public policy, real estate, international studies, and other fields focused on advancing wealth creation and long-term community growth for underserved communities.
Applicants will be asked to demonstrate how investing in people, ideas, and opportunity can create lasting impact, generational prosperity, and stronger communities for all.
