Hubert Colangelo Literacy Scholarship Fund

Hubert Colangelo was the son of an immigrant who brought himself and his family out of poverty in his generation. Hughie loved reading and was a fierce advocate for using reading and knowledge for advancement and success, regardless of educational status. Despite not being able to afford a formal college education, Hughie served his country and spent his life educating himself through reading and constant self-improvement through knowledge, passing along this value to his family. We'd like to use our scholarship fund to help immigrants (and/or their children) support their formal education, in his memory.
