Why Badminton? Badminton is a sport that requires skill, speed, agility, and endurance. It is a sport that can be played by anyone, regardless of age, gender, or background. It is a sport that promotes physical fitness, mental health, and social interaction. It is a sport that is fun, exciting, and challenging. But badminton is also a sport that is often overlooked and underfunded in the USA. The lack of scholarships for the sport of badminton is taking away the best players once they start their high school years. Many talented and passionate badminton players have to give up their dreams of playing at a higher level due to financial constraints or lack of opportunities. This is where the HmBr Badminton Scholarship Fund comes in.
