Our story
Hilda Ann Stahl's literary career was marked by the publication of more than 100 books and 200 short stories, many of which were translated into dozens of languages, captivating audiences with thrilling adventures, positive messages, and insightful lessons. Her works often explored themes of our identity and hope in God, resilience and strength, and the complexities of human relationships, leaving a lasting impression on readers of all ages.
Stahl understood her life’s purpose well and pursued it with infinite persistence and discipline. In addition to her literary achievements, Stahl was passionate about inspiring and empowering individuals to pursue their dreams. She understood the importance of nurturing the next generation of writers, teaching thousands of students through the Institute of Children’s Literature, where she herself attended as a young, aspiring talent.
Hilda Stahl left this earth suddenly and much too soon in 1993 with manuscripts unfinished and abundant creativity yet to harness onto the page. The Hilda Ann Stahl Memorial Scholarship Fund carries on her legacy by providing financial assistance to undergraduate students pursuing studies in English, communications, or creative writing. By offering scholarships, the fund not only honors Hilda Stahl's memory, but also cultivates a community of emerging writers who share her passion for storytelling.
The Hilda Ann Stahl Memorial Scholarship Fund stands as a testament to the enduring impact of Hilda Stahl's literary legacy and her commitment to fostering the growth of future generations of writers.

It was my privilege and honor of being Hilda's son-in-law. Her genuine love for all who crossed her path made a significant impact on all their lives.

I am a huge fan of great books! I want to encourage writers to pursue their dream/passion of writing their first book. I am also an even bigger fan of her daughter Vangie😀
