Our goal
This fund is to support an annual $500 scholarship in honor of Gretchen Arnold--a photographer and teacher. Gretchen loved photography, especially documentary style. We wish to support other young photographers on their path and honor Gretchen.
Gretchen touched so many lives through her sense of humor, photography, and adventurous spirit.

Gretchen was my slightly older cousin. Growing up, I always looked up to her with admiration and a little intimidation. In many ways, she embodied who I wanted to be, but was not yet brave enough-- daring, quick to laugh, creative, thoughtful, and just chaotic enough to be absorbingly interesting. I'm grateful her best traits will be celebrated in this way, as inspiration and help to others who will follow her pioneering, artistic, keen-eyed example.
