Ganbare Growth Grants

My name is Gabriel, and I am a filmmaker dedicated to the idea of 'Freedom through Film.' My journey is fueled by the Japanese concept of がんばれ (ganbare), a call to do your best and persevere, no matter the obstacle. I founded the Ganbare Growth Grants (GGG) to foster that same resilience in the next generation of film professionals and underrepresented communities. I believe that a healthy film ecosystem needs more than just directors; it needs diverse voices in production, finance, and entertainment law. Through this fundraiser, we are building a tiered support system to empower creators who are often overlooked: G1 | Film Career Growth: Supporting diverse career paths including production, finance, and entertainment law. G2 | Cultural Growth: Empowering Latino and Asian-American students to bridge cultural narratives in media. G3 | Advocacy Growth: Advancing LGBTQ+ students and allies committed to inclusivity and representation.
