Gabe Fonseca Memorial Scholarship Fund

I’ve known Gabe since 1996. We met our first year at Central Catholic. Even though he was a musician (punk rock was his love) he was able to bring all groups of kids together and our group of friends are so diverse because of him. He had a strong personality with an edge, but a heart of gold. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for his friends and the people he loved. He had a soft spot for animals, especially cats. Even though he loved music, it wasn’t his only talent. He loved to play sports but especially golf. A lot of our free time when we were younger was spent playing golf. That’s why we decided to run the golf outing in his honor

This fund was created to help raise money for a scholarship in memory of my dear friend Gabe Fonseca. We have previously run a memorial golf tournament in his name to raise money for underprivileged kids who want to attend Central Catholic in Lawrence mass, where we attended. Gabe’s mother was a councilor in the Lawrence school system for many years and worked hard to send Gabe to Central. We now want to give other kids in Massachussetts a chance to pursue higher education and attend college or university.
