Fredrick W O'Neal III Skilled Trades Scholarship Fund

My father was impassioned about seeing young people reach their fullest potential. He wanted to see any and all young people, especially those who had a rough start to life, find a path that would get them to success. He found that the trades offered that success while giving young people community and resources they may have otherwsie found unattainable through the traditional college route. My father Fred is a product of Triton College where he studied engineering and went on to lead a life where he became a master of his work at the City of Chicago, teaching and mentoring young people every step of the way. His desire to see men and women who may have scoffed at any form of education come into their own by embracing hard work and the challenge to succeed with their circumstances no longer holding them back, but propelling them into action, has guided many in this community to a future that may not have otherwise been. This scholarship fund is designed to continue the work of Fredrick W O'Neal III - though he's no longer here with us on Earth. His legacy of championing education and the trades will live on through each and every donation.
