Our story
Ervin Denver Wood believed in helping others. Compassionate, humble, and selfless, he showed that caring for people matters just as much as personal achievement.
Ervin passed away in November 2025 during his senior year of high school. He had earned a 4.5 GPA and hoped to study environmental engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder. His dreams reflected his desire to make the world a better place.
The Ervin Denver Wood Scholarship of Altruism was created in his memory to support students who share that commitment to others and the environment.
Our goal
We hope this scholarship will provide support to a deserving student to keep making the world a better place.
Your contribution can help carry Ervin’s kindness forward by supporting a student who puts compassion into action. Together, we can honor his memory through the people they help and the communities they serve.
