Our goal

This fund is to raise money in memory of Emily (Holman) Nash so that scholarships can be awarded to ministry minded students who are getting Biblical or Theological education. Emily attended the Free Lutheran Bible School a few years after her husband Nate. It was a transformative experience in her life. While she was attending a Youth Ministry class, she felt called to serve God in ministry. Through following God's call into Youth Ministry, she met her husband Nate. The Fall they got married, Nate started attending the Lutheran Brethren Seminary. Emily stood by Nate's side through his education and years of pastoral ministry. They were blessed to have two children and serve at churches in North Dakota and Illinois. Emily passed away in November of 2019 after a long battle with cancer. Her motto was always, "God is stronger!" She believed God was stronger than any illness, but ultimately, He was stronger than the grave. Through faith in Jesus Christ, we have the forgiveness of sins and the hope of eternal life in Him. It is this Good News, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that the world needs to hear about. So this fund is specifically for individuals who feel called to share this good news by serving in Christian ministry. Education is never cheap, ministry work is difficult, so the goal of this fund is to alleviate the stress of paying for the education of those individuals training for future ministry work. Students attending Free Lutheran Bible College in Plymouth, MN and the Lutheran Brethren Seminary in Fergus Falls, MN will be given preference.
