Our story
Elaine Kung was a creative, kind, and intelligent human being who worked in the emerging AgTech sectors of urban greenhouses and
vertical farming. She was known across her communities in Boston, NYC, and beyond as an inspiring female and minority representative to encourage more openness and diversity in the sector. As an engineer working in agriculture, Elaine worked in what was largely a male-dominated field. Tragically, Elaine left us too soon, and we want to continue her work and honor her impact for generations to come.
Our goal
This fund continues Elaine Kung's mission and vision to remove barriers and improve access for women and people of color to become leaders in AgTech. In honor and in memory of Elaine Kung, we are looking to create a scholarsship for students who are looking to get into AgTech.
She was known across her communities in Boston, NYC, and beyond as an inspiring female and minority representative encouraging more openness and diversity in the sector.
