Our story

In commemoration of the remarkable life and legacy of Eddie L. Smith, Sr., we invite friends, family, and members of the public to contribute to the Eddie L. Smith Sr Memorial Scholarship. Born in 1953 in New Orleans, Louisiana, Mr. Smith was a shining example of entrepreneurship, mentorship, and self-sufficiency. Over his 37-year career at the United States Postal Service, he also excelled as a real estate investor and businessman. A graduate of Southern University of New Orleans, Mr. Smith held a strong belief that young individuals should strive to acquire marketable skills, trades, or education. He emphasized the significance of discipline and focus in achieving a good quality of life. In honor of his values and commitment to education, this fund is established to support high school seniors embarking on their journey into college or trade programs. The Eddie L. Smith Sr Memorial Scholarship aims to carry forward Mr. Smith's legacy by providing financial assistance to students who share his passion for education and self-improvement.
