Our story

Dwayne A. Hall was a very well known tutor in the community of Flint, Michigan. He provided over 20 years of help to students of all ages ranging from 1st grade learning basic arithmetic to graduate students pursuing a doctorate degree. He himself attended the Georgia Institute of Technology and Morehouse College, a HBCU in Atlanta Georgia. He was committed to helping his students as much as possible no matter what time of day it was. He pushed students to see infinitely beyond the limits they set on themselves creating a growth mindset and empowering each person. He valued and encouraged students, especially African American students to seek some form of higher education whether it is college or professional training. This scholarship fund will continue his legacy of helping students reach their dreams.

Our goal

The Dwayne A. Hall Scholarship Fund is working to get African American Students to the school of their dreams by funding scholarships including the Dwayne A. Hall HBCU Scholarship.
