Our story
The Dr. Tujuana Hunter Memorial Scholarship Program was established in June 2023 by the East Houston Democrats in honor of the late Dr. Tujuana Hunter.
Dr. Hunter was a dedicated community leader committed to improving local education and supporting children’s success. She recognized the importance of academics in helping young people discover their passions, expand their minds, and achieve their dreams.
Our goal
This fund will be used to create scholarships to honor Dr. Tujuana Hunter’s legacy by supporting students from East Houston-area school districts.
