In honor of someone who improved so many lives in so many different ways. The world has lost a true Renaissance man.

Dr. Butler’s legacy will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched. He was a no-nonsense, practical man with an extraordinary work ethic. His deep compassion for others was matched only by his passion for both medicine and the arts. As a mentor, he had a remarkable ability to guide, uplift, and inspire with wisdom, kindness, and a steady sense of purpose.

Dr. Butler passionately advocated for education, medicine, and the arts. He instilled in all of us the importance of furthering our education, especially for people of color and those from historically marginalized communities. If it weren’t for Dr. B’s mentoring and encouragement, I wouldn’t have earned my Medical and two Master’s degrees.
