Dave Lanphear Planet of the ArtMonkeys Scholarship Fund: Funding the Creative Takeover of A Larger World

I am creating this scholarship in memory of my brother, David "Dave" Lanphear, whose creativity, talent, and generosity touched countless lives. Dave spent more than 40 years building an extraordinary career in the comic book, publishing, and entertainment industries. He helped pioneer digital comic lettering, served as Art and Design Director at CrossGen Entertainment, founded ArtMonkeys Studios, co-founded A Larger World Studios, and contributed to projects for publishers including Marvel, DC, Disney, Dark Horse, and so much more. Over the course of his career, he lettered more than 40,000 comic book pages, helping bring stories to life for generations of readers. While I am incredibly proud of his professional accomplishments, I am even more proud of the person he was. Dave believed in creativity, mentorship, and helping others succeed. This scholarship honors his legacy by helping aspiring artists and creatives pursue their education and develop their talents, regardless of financial obstacles. My hope is that through this fund, Dave's passion for storytelling and the arts will continue to inspire and support the next generation of creators.
