Daniel R. Torres “Complete Your Dream” Memorial Scholarship Fund

Daniel R. Torres, believed in the importance of having dreams and the ability to “Complete” those dreams by planning, setting goals and taking the necessary steps to achieve those dreams. Daniel completed many of his own dreams during his life, including many personal accomplishments. Daniel graduated from Lake City High School (LCHS). He enjoyed sports, especially Lacrosse, where he achieved team Captain and helped LCHS win two (2) Idaho State Championships. He attended North Idaho College (NIC) and graduated with an Associates of Arts & Science Degree, in general studies with emphasis in Anatomy and Physical Therapy. Daniel attended The American Institute of Clinical Message Therapy and obtained state certification as a License Clinical Message Therapist, in the states of Idaho, Washington and Hawaii. Daniel loved the outdoors, it was his favorite way of relaxing and unwinding. Daniel grew up in the Coeur ‘d Alene area, he enjoyed camping, hiking, backpacking the wilderness, bowhunting, fly fishing and UTV/ATV ridding. Danny also loved water-sports, he enjoyed boating, wakeboarding, wake surfing, floating the rivers, free diving and was a certified scuba-diver. He spent the winter months, snowboarding & snowmobiling with his family and friends, among many other outdoor activities. Daniel enjoyed traveling and explore different cities, states and countries. Danny actually completed one of his own personal dreams, to backpack across Europe with his friends. He traveled by train, hiking & backpacking through countries like Spain, France, Amsterdam, Switzerland, Germany and many european cities in between. He also traveled to many other countries such as, Aruba, Australia, Bahamas and many US States, including Alaska, Hawaii, Montana, Wyoming, Florida, Utah, Nevada, California among others. In the midst of completing his dreams, Daniel would always try to help others in many different ways, from volunteering to help out a neighbor or friend, to the clinical message therapy he performed for many different patients and clients. Daniel was a warm, fun loving and caring person, who loved his family and friends dearly. Daniel had an infectious smile and always managed to put a smile on the face of everyone who knew him. These traits, along with his personality and outgoing demeanor left a lasting impression on everyone he met and everyone that knew him.
