My Dad was a high school basketball coach in San Diego, CA. In 2016, after 52 seasons of coaching basketball — 41 as a girls coach, in which he recorded 567 wins- he retired from coaching. In 2022, he passed away surrounded by loving family.
He impacted the lives of thousands of athletes both on and off the court. His legacy lives on in his family, friends, and former players.
The purpose of this scholarship is to honor his memory, his faith, and love for sports - especially basketball - by recognizing a deserving student athlete who has excelled in the classroom and in athletics.
