Our story
My Dad was a high school basketball coach in San Diego, CA. In 2016, after 52 seasons of coaching basketball — 41 as a girls coach, in which he recorded 567 wins- he retired from coaching. In 2022, he passed away surrounded by loving family.
He impacted the lives of thousands of athletes both on and off the court. His legacy lives on in his family, friends, and former players.
The purpose of this scholarship is to honor his memory, his faith, and love for sports - especially basketball - by recognizing a deserving student athlete who has excelled in the classroom and in athletics.

Ray Jindra was my grandpa, and he always inspired me to be a better volleyball coach. It was great watching him coach throughout the years and witnessing the relationships he built with his players and coaching staffs. By donating here I can help some high school athletes achieve a higher education.
