Our story

Doc Ryan started coaching in Terrell in 1982. He made a tremendous impact in hundreds of people's lives on the field, in the classroom, and in the community. Doc personally coached every male athlete that share a spot with him in the THS hall of fame. He never met a stranger, and never missed an opportunity to help others. His love for the people of Terrell and the impact he was able to make on so many young men and women in this community is what kept him at THS for so long.

Our goal

Our goal is to continue our father coach Doc Ryan's legacy at Terrell High-school. He went above and beyond on the field, in the classroom, and most importantly in the community. We want to reward a deserving student that has demonstrated these same characteristics as a student at Terrell High with a scholarship in his honor. We would like people to consider donating in lieu of sending flowers.

You all are in our thoughts and prayers. Doc was a good friend and a great coach. I don’t know of any player or coach that did not love and respect him.

Paying it forward for a man who gave everything for his students & football and track teams. He touched so very many lives. This is a beautiful way to pay tribute. God bless him.

This is an awesome way to honor my brother. He had a deep love for all people but especially young people. His son set this scholarship up to help a deserving Terrell HS student further his/her dream of a brighter future.
