Coach Charles Lane Legacy Scholarship Fund

The Coach Charles Lane Legacy Scholarship was established in memory of my father, Coach Charles Lane, whose impact on Goldsboro High School reached far beyond the football field. For decades, he dedicated his life to teaching, coaching, mentoring, and helping young people recognize the potential within themselves. While he loved the game, what mattered most to him was the person behind the jersey. He believed athletics built discipline, resilience, accountability, and character—qualities that would serve his students long after the final whistle. All proceeds from this fund will go towards the Coach Charles Lane Legacy Scholarship, which aims to honor my father's legacy by awarding graduating student-athletes in North Carolina and Goldsboro High School who exemplify those same values. It is intended for a student who leads by example, works hard even when no one is watching, serves others, and strives to make a positive impact in their school and community.
