The Be a Maker Scholarship Fund™ provides money for traditional, nontraditional, and differently-abled students’ arts, crafts, and trades school training and skills development. BAMSF is hosted and administered through bold.org, a 501(c)(3) organization.
BAMSF was founded in 2024 by a midlife professional and ardent crafter. Having a great interest in arts training, she soon had the grounding realization that there is little financial aid available for this demographic or programs like college extension, continuing education, or craft-based courses. Without funding, many students, especially nontraditional, would miss the opportunity to learn skills that lead to creative employment options, a healthy sense of well-being, and an appreciation of the influence the arts have on society. BAMSF is dedicated to providing financial support and inspiration to all of these students.
