Baricko Family Scholarship Fund

Ever since I was very young, I had always wanted to help facilitate others' education. It's been a personal dream of mine since high school to fund a scholarship to help other women to achieve their goals of getting into STEM and creating change in the world. In particular, my goal was to help women who were good candidates for college, but may not have been the straight A student (they could be facing any number of challenges, whether it be financial, having a job through school, familial challenges, a disability, or other potential barriers). These students can be overlooked in scholarship awards (akin to the phrase "diamond in the rough"). My opinion is these students need an opportunity to be recognized and thrive. Creating and awarding a scholarship specifically for these folks will help them to improve their confidence on their paths and create more opportunities for those who come later.
