Ashanti McCall Life and Legacy Fund

During Ashanti's lifetime, her father was incarcerated, a reality that deeply shaped her perspective and fueled her passion for advocating on behalf of those facing similar challenges. She was a passionate advocate whose own journey embodied the transformative power of education. She was deeply committed to addressing women's issues, championing social justice causes, and nurturing her love for literature. Tragically, Ashanti passed away at the young age of 23, but her compassion, dedication, and desire to help others live on. Through our scholarships, we aim to honor Ashanti's legacy by creating opportunities for these students to pursue their academic passions, overcome barriers, and become agents of positive change in their communities and beyond. By lifting the weight of financial constraints, we enable our scholars to focus on their studies, explore their interests, and develop the skills and confidence needed to make a lasting impact, just as Ashanti had done.
