Arthur Walasek Computer Science Memorial Scholarship Fund

This scholarship seeks to honor the life of Arthur Walasek by providing financial aid to students who are passionate about computer science. Arthur was introduced to programming at a young age when he and his brother bought an Apple computer together, and it wasn't long before he bought his brother out of his share of the computer. That was the beginning of his passion. Arthur excelled in many areas of programming, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree focused in computer science. Arthur worked for over thirty years in the tech industry, starting at HP and working at many different places. To name a few: Mobilize, Kenai Systems, Keeper Security Inc, and Eclipse Gaming Systems. He even owned his own sweepstakes gaming company called CMC Gaming. He loved his work and was always learning new computer languages, striving to be the best at what he did. Arthur's hobbies were also vast; ranging from gaming to scuba diving as well as utilizing his programing skills to orchestrate chilling Haunted Houses and sparkling Christmas light displays. Recently, he even began to learn how to program and design for AI and 3D printing. Most importantly, Arthur was always willing to teach anyone who took an interest in his technological hobbies.
