Our story
Aimée Barrilleaux was an extraordinary teacher, mentor, and source of joy to the students, families, and colleagues whose lives she touched.
Those who knew her remember not only an exceptional educator, but someone who brought warmth, joy, and encouragement to everyone around her.
Our goal
Aimée dedicated her career to teaching at Pickens Elementary School, where her passion for education and love for her students made a lasting impact on the community. She was honored as Pickens Elementary’s 2022–23 Teacher of the Year and received a WYFF Golden Apple Award in 2025 for the remarkable difference she made in the lives of her students.
The Aimée Barrilleaux Memorial Scholarship Fund honors her legacy by supporting high school seniors at Pickens High School as they pursue higher education. Through this fund, we hope to carry forward Aimée’s love of education and her belief in the potential of every student.
