Our goal

This scholarship honors the legacy of Addie James Hamerter, a foundational figure of the Montgomery Bus Boycott in Montgomery, Alabama. A fearless pioneer for humanity and peace, Mrs. Hamerter dedicated her life to the pursuit of justice and the belief that educational opportunities should be accessible to all. From a young age, she was a catalyst for change in the civil rights movement. Known for her quiet strength and strategic mind, she possessed the rare ability to listen intently and provide transformative solutions. Her lifelong commitment to basic human rights paved the way for the voices we hear today. In this spirit, the 7023 Minority Scholarship seeks to empower the next generation . By supporting students in the completion of their studies, we aim to provide at least one student yearly by giving $500. This financial giving we hope it supports students to find their own voices and make a lasting difference in their communities.
