Mission

The tech industry sets out to serve a remarkably diverse world. To accomplish this, the industry itself has to reflect that world. At Virtasant, we understand the need to embrace fresh perspectives, probe unexamined problems, and tap into unique ideas. We want to support the innovative minds that represent the groups and communities that are still getting left behind in tech. To achieve this mission, we created the Future Leaders in Technology scholarship for students from these communities, who are pursuing careers in tech.

    Being awarded this scholarship means I can focus on reaching the hearts of other students at my university, rather than being stuck working part-time at a restaurant or store. I can divert my energy to my coaching work, where I can help inspire young engineers and help them find their paths. I can divert my energy to my ECE honors society, to help promote clean energy within my fellow electrical engineers. I can divert my energy to my Alternative Energy Enterprise, so I can help all the people itching to install solar panels. And all these experiences will help grow to be the best renewable energy engineer I can be. This will help me gain new perspectives from all types of people that I can take with me in my new career. This scholarship will help me change the world. Thank you.
