Wow, winning this scholarship is such an honor and a huge surprise! It's given me the push to continue fueling my hope and confidence in making my academic dreams come true. Receiving this award from a company that is so personable, honest, and eco-minded is the cherry on top. Relieving some of the financial stress associated with pursuing higher education allows me the freedom to commit my energy and talents to creating and implementing new marine conservation and restoration projects. My desire in life is to give back to both the planet and its people and I could not have made it this far without the help of others. I pledge to continue this spirit of giving to help create a cleaner and more resilient world for our oceans and all those who inhabit it.
