Seeing your message of what this scholarship means makes it not just only a gift of scholarship but encouragement to continue in my ministry and devotion to the Lord. I feel extremely blessed and honored to receive this scholarship. I have been struggling trying to figure out how I am going to pay for school, and now I can pay off at least 2 of my payments for the rest of the year. I am speechless. I received the email of this award right after leading worship and we sang about coming back to the Lord and communing with Him. As a first-generation college student pursuing my PhD, this scholarship means everything to me. I believe God has led me down this amazing yet chaotic journey and I don't regret a thing. My purpose is to help others who were in the system and to continue the work I started as a probation officer. I couldn't accomplish everything I wanted to do in that role, but I'm believing as a researcher, that I will be able to impact the change that needs to take place. I strongly believe that I can do ALL things in Christ Jesus whom strengthens me and I thank you for your support on my beloved journey.
