Inspired by the legacy of my mother, Vermell Segars Murphy, a trailblazer who lived with resilience, authenticity, and a passion for uplifting others, our mission is to provide opportunities for students at West Charlotte High School to pursue their dreams and make a lasting impact on their communities. We strive to celebrate and support students who not only excel academically but also embody the values of compassion, integrity, and service that my mom exemplified throughout her life. Through this scholarship, we aim to inspire applicants to lead with purpose, overcome challenges with strength, and invest in their communities with heart.
