Dear Phillips, I sincerely appreciate being selected as the recipient of the William Lacy Phillips Memorial Scholarship. It means a great deal to me to be recognized for my growth and dedication, and I am grateful for your confidence in students who work to overcome challenges. Receiving this support is especially meaningful as I complete my senior year at Vernon Malone College and Career Academy and prepare to pursue my goal of becoming an obstetrician. Your generosity will help ease the financial burden of college, enabling me to focus more fully on my studies and clinical experiences in healthcare. As someone who has strived to improve and reach my goals, being acknowledged by a scholarship that celebrates perseverance and progress is incredibly inspiring. With my experience as a CNA, years of supporting children through babysitting and church programs, and my recent Girl Scout Gold Award project, I am deeply committed to making a positive impact in pediatric and maternal care.
