Dear Phillip, I want to sincerely thank you for awarding me the Carlos Flores (Rocking through Kindness) Grant. It truly means a lot to me to be chosen for a scholarship that honors Carlos Flores and his meaningful legacy in music especially with how close to home he is to me. I'm glad to have learned about Carlos through this scholarship, and I'm inspired by the positive impact he had on others. Receiving this support makes a real difference as I prepare to attend Berklee College of Music, where I've recently been accepted. The financial assistance tremendously helps me to focus entirely on my studies and personal growth in music. My passion for both performing music and understanding the craft behind recording fuels my dream of becoming a musician or a recording engineer. Thanks to your generosity, I'm one step closer to building a life dedicated to music. Your commitment to keeping Carlos's spirit alive by helping students like me is so touching.
