As Tanner’s mom, I started this scholarship from a place of deep love and loss. Losing Tanner changed our family forever, but it also strengthened our desire to make sure his joy, kindness, and unmistakable love for basketball continue to live on. Raised in Maine, a place known for its hard-working grit, resilience, and deep sense of community, we understand the value of showing up, putting in the work, and earning every small victory. That same grit is what shapes so many Maine athletes by teaching them discipline, humility, and perseverance both on and off the court. This scholarship is our way of turning unimaginable heartbreak into something meaningful by supporting young athletes who embody that work ethic, chase their goals with heart, and carry forward the values Tanner represented so naturally.
