Dear Navy Yacht Club Long Beach, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for being chosen as a recipient of the Patriots Path Scholarship. It truly means a great deal to me to be recognized and supported by your organization. Thank you for recognizing my aspirations and goals. Being a winner of this scholarship means I can pursue my dreams as a Mechanical Engineer at UC Berkeley with less worry about financial aid. Your support means everything to me, and I aspire to work as hard as I can at UC Berkeley so that one day I can give back to the community that supported me when I was going through financial hardships. As a JROTC participant, I’m even more motivated by your commitment to helping students like me forge a path to higher education and meaningful service. Your mission to reduce college debt for hardworking students is truly inspiring, and I wish to use the scholarship to utilize my full potential in higher education and achieve my biggest dreams: to serve our country and be a Mechanical Engineer! I’m extremely thankful for your kindness and belief in my potential to be the best version of myself. With sincere thanks, Yeschua Genova

Dear Navy Yacht Club Long Beach, I want to sincerely thank you for selecting me as a recipient of the Patriots Path Scholarship. Receiving this award truly means a great deal to me, and I’m so grateful for your support of students like myself who are dedicated to JROTC and ROTC programs. This scholarship makes a tremendous difference as I prepare to attend Texas A&M University and pursue my studies in history within the Corps of Cadets. By easing the financial burden of college, your generosity helps me focus on my education and leadership development, as well as my goal of completing the Air Force ROTC program and commissioning as a US Air Force officer. Knowing that you’re committed to reducing college debt for high-achieving JROTC participants motivates me to work even harder to make the most of these opportunities. My experiences as Executive Officer and Platoon Officer in my Navy JROTC unit, along with my involvement in community service and leadership programs, have shaped my desire to serve and lead in the future. Your investment in my education not only supports my current goals, but also encourages me to give back and support the next generation of student leaders. Your commitment to making college more accessible for students in JROTC is truly inspiring, and I’m deeply appreciative of your faith in me. I look forward to representing the values of this scholarship and hope to one day help others achieve their dreams as you have helped me. Thank you, Brendan Kappel
