Hello, I'm truly grateful to be selected as the recipient of the Cade Reddington Be the Light Scholarship. It means so much to me to be recognized in this way, and I feel privileged to be part of Cade Reddington’s ongoing legacy through this scholarship. Receiving this support eases the financial challenges of attending college and allows me to focus wholeheartedly on my studies. As someone who’s grown up affected by substance abuse and poverty, this scholarship lifts a tremendous burden and brings me closer to becoming the first in my family to earn a college degree. I’m passionate about pursuing a psychology degree, with the hope of helping children in my community who face the same struggles I did. My experiences have inspired me to turn hardship into hope for others, and I want to use my education to be a positive force—just as Cade’s legacy encourages. I truly admire the mission of the Cade Reddington Memorial Fund to educate and empower youth to make healthy choices. Your commitment inspires me to do my part in supporting others facing similar challenges. I'm glad to have learned about Cade Reddington through this scholarship, and I will do my best to honor his memory by making a difference in the lives of others. Your generosity brings me one step closer to my dreams, and I can’t thank you enough for believing in my potential. Thank you, Kayla Brooks

Hello, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for choosing me as the recipient of the Cade Reddington Be the Light Scholarship. I feel truly honored and thankful to be recognized in this way, and I'm glad to have learned about Cade Reddington through this scholarship. Your support means so much to me as I navigate my first year at Washington State University, pursuing my passion for psychology and the performing arts. Receiving this award eases my financial worries and lets me devote more energy to my studies, community involvement, and personal growth. It also strengthens my commitment to giving back to others, especially in the area of mental health, which is so close to my heart. As a young Black woman who's experienced the challenge of finding a relatable mental health provider, I’m determined to become that source of support for others and help make the field more inclusive and accessible. I greatly admire the mission of the Cade Reddington Memorial Fund to educate and empower young people to make healthy choices for themselves. Knowing that this scholarship both honors Cade’s memory and uplifts students affected by similar struggles inspires me to work even harder toward my goals and to share hope with others. Thank you again for your generosity and for believing in my dreams. I look forward to carrying on Cade’s legacy by making a difference in the world, both through my future work in mental health and my creative pursuits. Thank you, Aniah Warren

I would like to thank the Cade Reddington Memorial Fund, not only on behalf of me, but my whole family, as this scholarship is going to help take some stress off of my tuition payments. I think educating adolescents about the dangers of drug abuse is very important and something that we as a society need to do a lot better with, which is one of the reasons drug abuse counseling is very high on my list of future career possibilities. Once again, thanks for this generous award that I will be putting towards a brighter future!
