Dear Michael, I want to sincerely thank you for selecting me as the recipient of the James Diorato Memorial Scholarship. I feel truly privileged and appreciative to be recognized in this way, especially as someone striving to follow a similar path in aviation. This generous support will greatly ease the financial pressures of earning my certificates and allow me to focus even more on my studies and flight training at Mercer County Community College. As a first-generation college student and aspiring commercial pilot, this scholarship is not just financial help, but an encouragement to keep pushing toward my dreams. I’m honored to carry on James Diorato’s legacy through this scholarship, knowing his career with Pan American Airlines continues to inspire future aviators like me. Service has always been central to who I am, from organizing community projects through Scouting to mentoring younger students. My goal is to not only fly but also give back and help others in meaningful ways, just as this scholarship is helping me. Your family’s commitment to remembering James by supporting new pilots is genuinely inspiring. It motivates me to uphold the same dedication, professionalism, and generosity that he embodied throughout his aviation career. I’m deeply grateful for your kindness and belief in my potential, and I look forward to making a positive impact in both aviation and my community. Thank you, Michael Esimio
