As someone freelancing as an iOS software engineer to supplement my acting career, I've seen how much flexibility a career in tech can provide when it comes to pursuing other goals. And as a black woman in tech, I've witnessed a chronic lack of diversity amongst my engineering peers and I realize there's a huge segment of the population not being exposed to computer science education and the benefits a career in tech provides. I believe computer science is integral to our society's future, and my goal is to do my part in making sure no group's left behind.
