The history of Cambodian survival, grit and love for the betterment of our community are largely overlooked and underinvested. As a first-generation Cambodian-American who learned the value of studying and hard work from my mother, it is important for me to support my community in the strive for greatness -- especially when we feel small, with little access to resources and few pathways to success. This scholarship serves two purposes: it honors my mother’s legacy and gives back to the next generation Cambodian-American community.
