Dear Leahy Family, I'm truly grateful to have been chosen as a recipient of the Brian Leahy Memorial Scholarship. It means so much to me to be honored in this way, and I'm glad to have learned about Brian Leahy through this scholarship. Receiving this support eases the financial pressures of college and allows me to focus on growing not only as a student, but also as a compassionate future healthcare provider. For a long time, I thought I wanted to become a surgeon, but as I explored different careers in healthcare, I discovered a deep interest in orthodontics. I’m drawn to the precision and hands-on nature of the work, but even more to the lasting relationships I can build with patients—helping them feel confident and healthy every day. This scholarship brings me a step closer to my goal of providing care that combines science and empathy for those who need it most. Your commitment to supporting students who have witnessed the challenges of a parent's cancer journey truly resonates with me.
