As a first-generation college student, I grew up in a home that stressed the importance of education, but simultaneously couldn't help shoulder the cost. Receiving scholarships immensely reduced the financial burden, and that's why I'm so passionate about paying it forward to new first-generation students!

Dear Ms. Printon, I am writing to express my gratitude for selecting me as a recipient of the Kristinspiration Scholarship. I was so excited to receive the news, and I am incredibly honored to be chosen. I took a moment to read your bio on the scholarship page, and your story truly resonated with me. As a first-generation student and the daughter of Vietnamese immigrants, I know firsthand how a family can champion education while facing significant financial hurdles. Receiving this award is not only a huge financial help but also a powerful source of encouragement, especially coming from someone who has walked a similar path. Your commitment to paying it forward is so inspiring and I hope to be in a position to do the same in the future. This scholarship brings me one step closer to graduating from the University of South Florida's nursing program debt-free and achieving my goal of serving vulnerable communities as a nurse. I promise to honor your investment in me, and I hope that one day I'll be in a position to help a future generation of students, just as you have helped me. I will send an update next year about my academic progress and would love to stay connected if you are open to it! I also wanted to ask if it would be okay to announce that I received this scholarship on LinkedIn. Attached is my LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/kimtranuf Thank you once again for your generosity and belief in my potential. With sincere gratitude, Kim Tran
