This scholarship was created in honor of my mother, whose determination and love of learning shaped the course of my life. As a chemist for over 20 years, she demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to education, hard work, and perseverance. Despite the demands of raising a family, she never stopped valuing knowledge and personal growth. Her example inspired me to pursue advanced education myself, including my doctoral studies, and instilled in me a deep appreciation for the doors that learning can open. Through this scholarship, I hope to honor her legacy by supporting students who are dedicated to their goals, committed to their education despite challenges, and willing to persevere through challenges along the way. My goal is to help reduce financial barriers for students who are working hard to build a better future for themselves and their communities by pursuing a degree in chemistry, which she was so passionate about. I hope this scholarship serves as both practical support and a reminder that persistence, curiosity, and determination can create opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom.
