I'm Kari, wife and high school sweetheart of Ryan who passed away from glioblastoma brain cancer in 2023 after a courageous 2.5 year journey. I have 2 teenagers in high school and we know the disruption this trauma can cause. Students that have witnessed and cared for, then ultimately lost a parent with cancer have been through things uniquely different from their peers. This scholarship is meant to give you a little boost in college and to let you know that we see you and your resiliency, and we're proud of you, just as your parent is.
