Dear Jennifer, I just wanted to say thank you for choosing me for the CW4 Savidge Memorial Scholarship. I’ve tried a few times to write this, and honestly, it’s hard to put into words what it means to me. This isn’t just financial help. It feels personal. As a veteran, the focus on mental health isn’t something abstract to me—it’s real, and it’s something a lot of us deal with without saying much about it. Knowing that this scholarship exists for that reason, and that people are still fighting to bring attention to it… that sticks with me. Because of this, I can focus on school without the constant weight of stress pressing down on me. Pursuing my degree in Psychology, I find space to truly grow into who I am meant to become, rather than merely trying to survive the journey. The scholarship’s significance is not lost on me; CW4 Savidge’s name carries the weight of honor, a legacy I intend to uphold not just through my achievements but in the way I live my life.
