Joshua DeShawn Millender an African American male was born prematurely and was diagnosed with a physical impairment - cerebral palsy-left hemiplegia at the age of two. Later learned to have a speech impediment and epileptic seizures. He would rather grow in his infirmity than give into it and give up. With resilience, determination, and dedication he faced his challenges head-on.
Mission
Our mission is to build a pathway that all students have the opportunity to reach their true potential: The aim is:
- To support first-year undergraduate students.
- To support those students with a disability, suffer from epileptic seizures, and other debilitating disease, and those individuals who are at a disadvantage.
