Winning the Global Girls in STEM scholarship means more than just financial support—it’s a door opening for me to step fully into my passion for chemistry. As a Black woman in STEM, I know the challenges that come with pursuing this path. Whether that be financial barriers to underrepresentation, but this scholarship reminds me that I belong in this space. Chemistry has always been my thing! It’s how I see the world, how I make sense of change, reaction and possibilities. I am beyond grateful to be a recipient. Thankyou to the Global Girls in Stem community and all who have donated to prove that my dreams in STEM are worth investing in. Thankyou for believing in me. I won’t take this for granted.
