You have no idea of how much winning this scholarship means to me. I have been having a hard year. I do not test well so my ACT score isn't what was needed to be accepted to some of my choice colleges. I am grateful for staff and faculty that are helping me to get into Bossier Parish Community College so I can transfer later to Louisiana Tech. I want to be an Athletic Trainer so I can help athletes when they get hurt on the field. I want to help others like I was help (and I needed alot of help while playing football and hockey!). Thank you so much for seeing something in me that you were willing to award me this scholarship money. Every bit helps and this was a huge help!!! You are a huge step in my college education, and I hope to be able pay it forward one day to the next generation! Thank you again, Jordan Welborn

This means so much to me! I will remember Jose’s name and pay it forward when I can. Being in foster care was so tough and that’s something I had in common with Jose but I see we also both had people who cared around us at times.
