Dear Cynthia, I sincerely appreciate the honor of receiving the Sunni E. Fagan Memorial Music Scholarship. Being recognized for my passion for music is truly meaningful, and I am grateful for the opportunity to carry on Sunni E. Fagan’s inspiring legacy. This scholarship significantly alleviates some of the financial pressures I face and allows me to dedicate myself fully to my studies in Music Therapy at Carroll University. Your support encourages me to pursue my education with dedication, refine my performance skills, and give back to others through music education and community service. As a Puerto Rican and African American student from an underserved community, I understand the importance of believing in one's dreams. Your commitment to uplifting students like me is truly inspiring, and it’s encouraging to know compassionate leaders like you are in my corner. Through volunteering and working with students from diverse backgrounds, I am reminded of how music can serve as a bridge to stronger, more connected communities. Thank you for your kindness and for investing in my future. I hope to honor Sunni E. Fagan’s memory and your generosity by making a meaningful impact through music. Warm regards, Jay Cordero
