Dear La Matriz Sagrada Scholarship Committee, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for awarding me the La Matriz Sagrada Scholarship! This scholarship means so much more to me than financial assistance—it represents hope, validation, and the belief that my story and future matter. As someone who was raised by a teen parent, I’ve faced challenges that sometimes felt overwhelming. There have been moments when I questioned if I could keep going, if all the effort was worth it. But receiving this scholarship has renewed my strength. It reminds me that I’m not alone that there are people who see me, believe in me, and want to see me succeed. This support encourages me to keep pushing forward, to not give up when things get hard, and to never lose hope. It’s a light in moments of doubt, and a reminder that the path I’m on no matter how difficult is one worth walking. Most of all, this scholarship makes me feel connected. Connected to a community that honors resilience, culture, and healing. That means everything to me.
