Alberta Bean came to St. Louis with an 8th grade education but still managed to provide for her family and do the best she could. Her children exceeded her expectations and their children have gone even further. In all that she did she just wanted everyone to put their best foot forward and work hard. This scholarship represents all that Alberta Bean was but also what she imagined she could be. You do not have to have a lot to make an impact on the world just a little faith.
