I am deeply honored to be selected as a recipient of the Alberta Bean Memorial Scholarship. Mrs. Bean’s story resonates with me in a powerful way; her strength, her work ethic, and her belief that you don’t need much to make an impact, just faith and forward movement. Those values mirror the path I’m walking as I continue my education while working full-time in healthcare. Winning this scholarship means more than financial support. It represents someone believing in my potential and investing in the future I’m building. As a first-generation college graduate in my family, and as someone navigating school, work, and personal challenges, this encouragement gives me the push I need to keep going with confidence. Thank you for supporting students like me who are trying to create something better for ourselves, our families, and our communities. I am truly grateful for this recognition, and I will continue striving to live up to the spirit of hard work, hope, and perseverance that Alberta Bean embodied.
